Gionee S9 has been officially launched in China, with this launch Gionee also joined the dual camera setup smartphone segment to compete other manufacturers. Gionee S9 price in China is set to CNY 2,499 – approximately $365 USD or 24,700 INR and will go on sale in China starting from 25th November, 2016. The handset is available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color variants. 
The Gionee S9 features a 5.5-inch LTPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 401ppi. It has 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it, has a new cutting-edge technology frame design and its housing made of durable aircraft-grade 6-series aluminum alloy.
The Gionee Mobile is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 chipset clubbed with Mali-T860 GPU. It has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.
Coming to the Gionee S9 camera features, it comes with a dual rear camera setup including a 13-megapixel Sony sensor along with a 5-megapixel Samsung sensor to capture depth of field blur effects. It has a good improvement in camera performance, after capturing stills user can also re-adjust the focus and blur.
For selfie, it has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens and front LED flash to capture wide and bright self portraits and high quality video calling. In addition, the S9 also supports a Beauty mode in video shooting. With the new algorithm, video capture and video call can also enjoy real-time beauty mode. Video capture support up to seven beauty mode. 
The Gionee S9 comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly, support for mobile payment, app lock, and private space to secure your contacts, text messages, pictures, documents and other information. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based on Amigo OS 3.2 and a 3000mAh battery out of the box.
On the connectivity front, new Gionee Smartphone supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options. It measures 154.2 x 76.4 x 7.4 mm and weighs 168.2 grams.
