Gionee P5W has been unveiled by the company with a listing on its global e-commerce website. It is the mid-range smartphone from the Gionee that comes in so many attractive and sporty back panel such as in While, Black, Blue, Pink and Yellow color variant. As of now, not any detailed information on pricing and availability.
The Gionee P5W flaunts a 5.0-inch IPS On-cell display with HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-core processor that’s backed by a MediaTek MT6735 SoC and along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via microSD card (unknown capacity).
The P5W bears a 5-megapixel primary autofocus camera on the back with LED flash; and front has a 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. It has a DTS 3D surround sound technology for music lovers and Face unlock options. It measures 143.3x72x8.9mm and weighs 153 grams.
The Gionee P5W runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee Custom UI on top and packs a 2000mAh battery out of the box. It supports Dual SIM functionality along with 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio connectivity options.
Just last month, Gionee India launched the Marathon M5, available in Black, Gold, and White color variants and has been priced at Rs. 14,999. It comes furnished with two 3010mAh batteries, taking the total to 6020mAh battery capacity. It also supports reverse charging, and extreme mode that can boost standby time up to 5 percent battery life.
The Gionee Marathon M5 features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with HD resolution and also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6535 processor along with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD card slot to expand memory up to 128GB.
