At the beginning of 2024, Gigabyte unveiled two new best 34-inch ultrawide curved monitor models at the CES in Las Vegas, including the ultrawide Gigabyte MO34WQC2 and MO34WQC. The new 34″ curved QD-OLED monitors are now available online with discounts.
The 34″ curved QD-OLED monitors equipped with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels) achieve a maximum refresh rate of 175 Hz (MO34WQC) or 240 Hz (MO34WQC2), measure 34 inches diagonally and promise a peak brightness of 1000 cd/m² ( HDR, 3 percent APL). Other features include 10-bit color depth, 99% DCI-P3, DisplayHDR True Black 400, 250 cd/m² typical brightness (SDR, 100 percent APL), a 0.03 ms fast gray change, an 1800 R curvature and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1.
Both ultra-wide 34″ gaming models also feature a KVM switch and picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes. The interfaces available consist of two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone output, and a microphone input. USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 18-watt PD have also been considered. The 34-inch widescreens can be tilted, rotated, and adjusted in height and have a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm).

The primary difference between the Gigabyte MO34WQC2 and MO34WQC models, aside from their varying refresh rates, is the VESA classification for moving image sharpness. While the former has ClearMR 10,000, the latter has ClearMR 13,000 – the best possible level at the moment. The OSD of the new 34″ UWQHD models is operated via a 5-way joystick and includes gaming functions such as a black stabilizer or a crosshair overlay. Sync technology to prevent tearing isn’t mentioned, but FreeSync Premium (Pro) will likely be used.
By using a tactical switch, you can dynamically limit the image resolution to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) on a 24-inch display, significantly boosting the frame rate when needed. The Gigabyte MO34WQC has a power consumption of 44 watts, while the Gigabyte MO34WQC2 consumes a little more power at 48 watts. A three-year warranty is provided, which also covers burn-in effects.
