The Taiwanese company has unveiled a new OLED gaming monitor: Gigabyte MO27Q2. The QD-OLED-based display measures 27 inches diagonally, has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) at up to 240 Hz, and is certified for ClearMR 13 000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400. The DCI-P3 color space is covered by 99 percent.
The specs for the new product also mention a 0.03 ms fast gray change, 10-bit color depth, a Delta-E value of less than 2, a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and a brightness of 250 cd/m² (SDR, 100 percent APL) or 1,000 cd/m² (HDR, 3 percent APL). When required, the Tactical Switch switches to full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) to boost the frame rate or reduce the input lag.
The Gigabyte MO27Q2 also features two internal 5-watt speakers, a black stabilizer, an FPS display, a crosshair overlay, and picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes. FreeSync Premium Pro should meanwhile ensure tearing-free gaming fun. On the interface side, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 18-watt PD.
Thanks to the KVM switch, several devices can be operated with the same mouse and keyboard without constantly unplugging cables. A firmware update function has also been added. The screen can be tilted, rotated, adjusted in height, and pivoted.
Gigabyte MO27Q2 Price and Availability
The Gigabyte MO27Q2 is finally listed on Amazon for $699.99 and has a three-year premium warranty.
Amazon US also recently listed two more Gigabyte gaming monitors, the GS27QCA (27 inches) and GS32QCA (31.5 inches). Each model features a VA panel with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), a 180 Hz refresh rate, a 1500R curvature, and HDR support.
