Gigabyte M27UA 4K160 Gaming Monitor with Aim Stabilizer Sync

The Taiwanese manufacturer has unveiled its latest gaming monitor, the Gigabyte M27UA. This 27-inch IPS model features a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and offers a maximum refresh rate of 160 Hz. It is also DisplayHDR-400 certified.

The response time is rated at 5 ms (gray to gray), which is relatively slow for gaming. It’s disappointing that this monitor does not utilize a fast SS IPS panel with a 1 ms response time.

The specifications indicate a 10-bit color depth (likely 8-bit plus FRC), covering 128% of the sRGB color space and 95% of DCI-P3. It offers a typical brightness of 400 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. With Aim Stabilizer Sync, users can enable FreeSync Premium alongside an anti-blur feature.

Gigabyte has also thought of picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, an FPS display, a crosshair overlay, a black stabilizer, and two internal 3-watt speakers.

On the interface side, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 18-watt PD. A KVM switch allows you to avoid constantly unplugging the mouse and keyboard when two devices are connected.

For ergonomics, it offers tilt and height adjustment, a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight. The Gigabyte M27U Advanced consumes 34 watts of power, weighs 4.17 kg without the stand, and includes a firmware update function.

Gigabyte M27UA price and availability

Gigabyte M27U Advanced is now available for $429.99 on Amazon and Bhphotovideo online stores.

Last month, Sony launched the Inzone M9 II gaming monitor. This monitor features a 24.5-inch 4K IPS panel, a 160 Hz refresh rate, and a 1 ms response time. It also includes Full Array Local Dimming and HDR10 support. The price is $799.99 / £899.
