At CES 2024, Gigabyte introduced the FO32U2P, which drew significant attention. This monitor is one of the first in the world to offer DisplayPort 2.1 with a bandwidth of 80 Gbit/s (UHBR20), allowing it to deliver 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) at 240 Hz without compression. In addition to 4K240, the Gigabyte FO32U2P 4K OLED monitor promises a 0.03 ms fast gray change, 10-bit color depth, 99% DCI-P3, 250 cd/m² (SDR, 100% APL) or 1000 cd/m² (HDR, 3% APL) brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. There is also talk of ClearMR 13,000, DisplayHDR True Black 400 and FreeSync Premium Pro. A night vision mode can be activated using the Tactical Switch or you can seamlessly switch to a 24-inch image with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and back for a higher frame rate.
The interfaces include two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 2.1, a Mini DisplayPort 2.1, a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone output, and a microphone input. USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 65-watt PD have also been considered. Daisy chaining, a KVM switch, and picture-in-picture or picture-by-picture modes are also available. You can easily update the firmware on the super ultrawide OLED monitor if desired.
The Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2P weighs 6.2 kg without the stand and offers extensive ergonomic functions. These include tilt, rotation, height adjustment, pivot, and a VESA mount (100 x 100 mm). Additionally, the monitor features AI-based OLED care to minimize the risk of burn-in effects.
