Gigabyte Aero 16 with Core i9-13900H, RTX 4070, and 4K+ OLED introduced

The Aero 16 is Gigabyte’s latest OLED laptop and was announced at CES 2023, following the Gigabyte Aero 14 OLED. The Gigabyte 16 Aero notebook features an Intel Core i9-13900H, Nvidia RTX 4070, and a 4K+ OLED screen in 16:10 format.

The new Gigabyte Aero 16 is equipped with a new Intel Raptor Lake Core i9-13900H processor and Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics. The design of the Aero 16 remains largely unchanged from its complete overhaul last year, featuring an 18 mm thin, silver aluminum alloy housing and a 4K+ OLED panel with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,400 pixels in 16:10 format.

One unique aspect of the screen is its dual X-Rite and Pantone certification and pre-calibration to a low average Delta-E value <1. The multimedia gaming hybrid is primarily aimed at creative individuals and boasts 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and HDR 600 support. The display is also easy on the eyes with low blue light emissions of only 6.5%, TÜV-Rheinland Flicker-Free, and EyeSafe certification. However, there is no mention of a mini-LED version or a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz.

The glass touchpad has been enlarged, and the notebook now includes a microSD card reader and an FHD webcam with Windows Hello. The weight and thickness have decreased to 2.1 kg and 18 mm, respectively. The notebook also comes with USB-A 3.2 Gen1 and HDMI 2.1.

Price and release date

The Gigabyte 16 Aero can be pre-ordered on Newegg.com, with prices starting from $2,099. The notebook is set to be released on February 24, 2023.
