After rumors and leaks, it is now official: Garmin presents the two new smartwatch Garmin Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music GPS Smartwatch. The two brand new Garmin smartwatch models have a TFT touch display, offer many fitness and additional functions.
Even before the official launch, practically all details and information about the two new Garmin watches, which are now available as Smartwatch Garmin Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music, had already been leaked. And Garmin has officially announced and introduced them.
Instead of an OLED, the two new Garmin Venu smartwatch models use a conventional 1.3-inch LCD with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as a display. Garmin puts the dimensions of the fiber-reinforced plastic housing of the Venu Sq (Music) at 40.6 x 37.0 x 11.5 millimeters, the weight of the Venu Sq Standard is given as 37.6 grams.
In addition to numerous fitness and health functions such as 24/7 heart rate measurement on the wrist, pulse ox, body battery, advanced sleep analysis, breathing rate, water consumption, menstrual cycle tracking, the user has over 20 pre-installed sports apps such as running, swimming and Pilates, Positioning via GPS, workouts and training plans via Garmin Connect as well as individual running plans via Garmin Coach are available.
Garmin Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music also offer various security functions such as automatic accident notification and emergency assistance, as well as support for contactless and cashless payment via Garmin Pay. The Garmin Venu Sq Music has integrated music storage for up to 500 tracks, compatibility with Amazon Music, Spotify, and Deezer on board. Garmin promises a battery life of up to 6 days (GPS operation: 14 hours) for the new smart wrist watches that are waterproof up to 50 meters.

Garmin Venu Sq GPS smartwatch Standard model cost $199.99, while the Venu Sq Music has been priced at $249.99 and can be purchased through the Amazon.com and BestBuy.com websites.
