Garmin Swim 2 swimming watch has gone on sale in US via Amazon and B&H stores. The Garmin smart watch was launched back in October this year as it is designed for swimming in the pool and in open water. It will also allow you to measure your heart rate underwater, help you calculate the effectiveness of your workouts and monitor your health.

Garmin Swim 2 Swimming Watch Features
Swim 2 comes with a different swim mode: records distance, pace, stroke count, stroke type and SWOLF (gauges swimming efficiency). There is also an open-water swim mode that includes: uses built-in GPS for swims in lakes, oceans or rivers; records distance, pace, stroke count, SWOLF, stroke rate, and stroke distance.
If swimming in the pool is your preference, take advantage of all that and advanced pool features, including a new auto rest feature that tracks your rests and swim intervals automatically. You can create your own workout plans in the Garmin Connect app. The screen displays incoming messages and calls, updates on social networks, emails and more, from a paired smartphone.

In addition to swimming, there are occupation profiles for basic cardio, cycling and running, the number of steps taken, the level of stress and the quality of sleep are tracked.
The watch is equipped with an always-on, full-color display with a resolution of 208 x 208 pixels. It is 5 ATM water-resistant. It is claimed up to 7 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, 13 hours in GPS mode and an optical heart rate monitor, up to 3 days without recharging in the pool + heart rate monitor mode.
