I’m sure you know that the Instinct 3 has an AMOLED screen version, and I wanted to share it with you quickly. In this Garmin Instinct 3 hands-on article, I will mainly talk about this new smartwatch. It also has a regular black-and-white screen version like the old one, which I will share later.

Garmin Instinct 3 Hands-on: First Impression
At first glance, this is the one that impressed me the most, I mean the color. The mint color combined with the dark blue is so suitable and stylish. Garmin shared that the Instinct 3 is equipped with an anti-glare AMOLED screen, which helps to display clearly under sunlight.

Aside from the display, the Garmin Instinct 3 carries over everything from its predecessor, with no upgrades to the sensors despite the software upgrades. It still uses the Elevate V4 optical heart rate sensor developed by Garmin.
Of course, Garmin still has the same great features as before, including heart rate, VO2 max, training readiness, sleep tracking, Pulse Ox, and more.

Garmin Instinct 3 maintains the design with 5 physical buttons similar to previous versions, including LIGHT/CTRL, MENU/UP, DOWN, GPS, and BACK. The functions of these buttons have not changed significantly compared to previous models. However, users can customize the hotkeys to access their favorite functions quickly.
Garmin Instinct 3 continues to use a silicone strap, similar to previous versions. The silicone material is soft and durable, providing a comfortable feeling when worn for a long time, and is suitable for sports activities.

It has an AMOLED screen but no touch like the higher-end Garmin lines. However, that’s enough for a sports watch.
This is the 50mm version that looks so beautiful on my wrist that it makes me want to buy an Apple Watch. Garmin claims that this version’s battery life is 24 days in normal mode and 40 hours in GPS mode.

I loved the design, the colors, and the new AMOLED display. As always, the Instinct 3 has a solid design with a metal finish, a fiber-reinforced polymer case, and a scratch-resistant display, and is MIL-STD 810 certified for temperature and shock resistance, as well as water resistance up to 100 meters.
This is the second new thing I find interesting: all Instinct 3 models are equipped with flashlights with multiple brightness levels and flashing modes, which provide better support in low-light environments (night runners like this).

The software on the Garmin Instinct 3 is more polished, beautiful, and easier to look at than the older versions, or at least compared to the regular Instinct 3.

Next to the Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED is the regular Instinct 3. I find it normal and similar to the old version (except for the flashlight), so I don’t share too much with you guys. The black and orange color combination is still a top color combination in the world of smartwatches.
Amazon lists the Garmin Instinct 3 Solar at $399.99 for the 45mm and $549.99 for the 50mm.

Garmin Instinct E
In addition to the Instinct 3 series, Garmin offers Instinct E watches. These are essentially cheaper versions of the Instinct 3 models—without AMOLED and solar charging.

Nevertheless, a long battery life of up to 16 days in smartwatch mode is possible. Like the Instinct smartwatches already on the market, the device uses a two-part display. The resolution reaches up to 176 x 176 pixels, depending on the selected size (40 or 45 millimeters). The reinforced polymer bezel and case provide exceptional robustness.
Garmin advertises the Instinct E as water-resistant up to a test pressure of 10 ATM. This rating means users can wear it freely while swimming and snorkeling.
The Garmin Instinct E is available on Amazon for $399.99, and customers can now place orders.
