The new Garmin fitness watches for men and women Venu 2 and Venu 2s were leaked a few days ago. Now the two new GPS Smartwatch models are officially available. It comes in two sizes, with new features and twice the battery life.
After a comprehensive leak a few days ago, Garmin has now officially introduced its new Garmin fitness watch for women. The two new Garmin fitness watches Venu 2 and Venu 2s follow the Garmin Venu and bring some innovations with them.
A major change compared to its predecessor is that the new Venu 2 is now available in two sizes. With a diameter of 45 mm, the Venu 2 is more intended for men, while women will probably prefer the Venu 2s with 40 mm.
The available color variants of the two sizes also differ. The larger Garmin smartwatch model is available in black/slate gray as well as a variant with a silver bezel and granite blue bracelet. The smaller model is available in beige / light gold, white / rose gold, light gray/silver, and a completely slate gray version.
In addition to the features already known from its predecessor, such as the pulse-ox sensor, there are also various new functions and improvements. This includes the “health snapshot” function. This offers the wearer of the Venu 2 or 2s the opportunity to determine important health parameters such as pulse, oxygen saturation of the blood, heart rate variability, breathing rate, and the current stress level in an activity period of two minutes. There are also new modes for sports such as HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) and strength training. In the case of the latter, the watch shows the muscle groups used and their records.
The round touch display of the first generation is of course also on board with the new Venu 2 and Venu 2s. It measures 1.2 and 1.3 inches respectively. A new, angular version like the Venu Sq is currently not available yet. There are also popular functions such as smartphone notifications, security and tracking functions, and contactless payments with Garmin Pay. Besides, the music memory has now grown to up to 750 songs and the battery life is up to 11 days for the large and 10 days for the small size. At the first Venu, it is a maximum of 5 days.
Price and availability
Regardless of the size, the Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2s are priced at just under $400. The new Garmin fitness watches for men and women can already be ordered from Amazon.com. The delivery time varies from a few days to several weeks, depending on the variant.
