One of the most important aspects of any mobile device is its battery, which is especially crucial for foldable phones. In this Galaxy Z Fold6 battery test, the device’s large capacity allows users to use it for extended periods without worrying about frequent recharging. In particular, with its folding design, this device is equipped with two batteries on both sides, helping to balance the weight and optimize space.
To clarify that issue, we will explore the battery life when performing daily tasks such as surfing the web, watching videos, playing games, and using multitasking applications. In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold6 battery test article will also evaluate the charging speed to see if the device meets the high usage needs of modern users.

Galaxy Z Fold6 Battery Test Conditions
Galaxy Z Fold6 is the latest technological masterpiece from Samsung, bringing the perfect combination of power and breakthrough design. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, one of the most powerful chips available today. This helps the device handle tasks smoothly, from multitasking to high-end gaming. Packs with 12GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB internal memory options, enough space for all storage and application usage needs.
The Galaxy Z Fold6’s battery is also a notable highlight. With a 4400mAh battery capacity, the device ensures all-day usage, even with heavy usage. 25W fast charging technology helps you save waiting time when you need to charge your device. In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold6 also supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, providing maximum convenience for users.
To understand the battery life of Samsung’s latest foldable smartphone, I will conduct three tests. These will include PCMark and daily use with my regular tasks. Next, I’ll test each application for 1 hour to see how much power the Galaxy Z Fold6 consumes.
PCMark Test
To fully understand the battery performance of the Galaxy Z Fold6, we must closely examine the results from various tests. In the PCMark test, the Galaxy Z Fold6 achieved a continuous operating time of up to 16 hours and 37 minutes. This test was conducted with the volume set at 50%, the screen brightness at 50%, and only using a WiFi connection. This demonstrates the device’s impressive power-saving ability, ensuring users can use it throughout the day without worrying about the battery running out.
However, when compared to the results from the system application, we see a significant difference. The system application only measured a PCMark runtime of 14 hours and 13 minutes. This discrepancy could be due to various factors, such as slight variations in test conditions, background system activities, or how the system application calculates usage time. Despite this, it is worth noting that both results are impressive.
With a battery life of 14 to 16 hours, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is among the most durable devices available today. This is especially important for users with high work and entertainment needs. A device capable of continuous operation without frequent recharging helps users maintain seamless work performance and entertainment experiences.
Real-Life Experience on the First Day of Use
To evaluate the battery performance of the Galaxy Z Fold6 under real-world conditions, I conducted a detailed test. I started the test by fully charging the Galaxy Z Fold6 at 9:43 am. During the test, I only performed basic tasks such as texting, taking photos, surfing the web, using social networks, and playing a few matches of Lien Quan Mobile.
The test results show that the Galaxy Z Fold6 can operate for 1 day and 7 hours with the above tasks. This means that by 5:24 p.m. the next day, the device’s battery only has 24% remaining. The screen-on time is 3 hours and 50 minutes, while the screen-off time is 1 day and 3 hours. These parameters show that the Galaxy Z Fold6’s ability to maintain operation is excellent, meeting the needs of an office worker like me.
The Galaxy Z Fold6’s 4400mAh battery shows remarkable endurance in meeting daily usage needs. With a long working day, the device’s battery still delivers strong performance, allowing me to complete tasks without experiencing a premature battery drain.
Day Two: Continued Impressions
On the second day, at 8:20 PM with a full battery, I used YouTube to watch entertainment programs. After 59 minutes of use, according to system statistics, the Galaxy Z Fold6 used up 5% of its energy.
After finishing housework, I used TikTok for entertainment, checked the latest news, and reviewed notifications on Facebook. By 10:44 PM, had used 11% of battery, with 2hr and 14 minutes of screen time since the full charge.
Before going to bed, I surfed Facebook. So after 1 hour and 13 minutes, the Galaxy Z Fold6 only lost 5% of its battery capacity. If you’re not watching videos, this task uses minimal energy.
After using Facebook, I went to bed and resumed use at 8:59 AM. Despite a long night of inactivity, the battery only dropped 4%, leaving 80%. Overall, after 12 hours and 39 minutes of use, the Z Fold6 consumed 20% of its energy. This includes 3 hours and 10 minutes of screen time and 9 hours and 25 minutes of idle time. With 80% battery remaining, the system software estimates the flagship will last up to 3 days and 8 hours.
Playing “Truth Arena” shows that the Galaxy Z Fold6’s large screen is ideal for the game. After 44 minutes of gameplay, the flagship used 8% more battery, totaling nearly 4 hours of continuous screen time.
Continuous use of daily apps and computer work left the device with 38% battery by 3:43 PM. After nearly 8 hours of screen use and over 11 hours idle, the Z Fold6 used 62% of its battery.
In the afternoon and evening, I used the phone less as I had other personal tasks. During this time, I only checked notifications, replied to messages, and occasionally browsed social media platforms. Tasks with low energy consumption did not deplete the Galaxy Z Fold6’s battery to 19% until 12:15 AM. Unlike the first day of use, I used the device more on subsequent days. The total screen-on time reached 10 hours and 32 minutes, which is quite impressive for a smartphone-tablet hybrid.
Battery Consumption Test: Analyzing Each Task Over 1 Hour
To easily visualize the battery consumption and power management capabilities of the Galaxy Z Fold6, I performed an additional test with each application. Specifically, I will use applications such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, playing games, and surfing the web for 1 hour to see how much battery is consumed. The test conditions will be 50% volume, and 50% brightness, only using WiFi and not opening other utilities such as Bluetooth, positioning, NFC,… The results are as shown:
Above is my experiment with the secondary screen, also known as the cover screen on the outside. With the large screen on the inside, I got the results as shown:
Overall, even with the large screen, tasks do not consume much energy.
Galaxy Z Fold6 Battery Charging Test
Since no charger was included, I used my Xiaomi 67W charger. At a room temperature of 28°C, it took approximately 47 minutes to fully charge the 4400mAh battery. It’s disappointing that a premium device is limited to 25W fast charging. However, this charging speed is enough to meet my needs for daily tasks.
Final line
With a large battery capacity, energy efficiency, and fast charging speed, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is a device worth considering for those who need a phone that can meet high usage needs for both work and entertainment. With impressive battery life, users can perform daily tasks without worrying about frequent recharging.
