In the new generation of Galaxy Buds3 truly wireless Bluetooth earbuds, Samsung offers two distinct design options: the regular version and the Pro version, each with unique design features. On the regular version, we will have a headset with an earbuds design, suitable for many users who do not like in-ear headphones.
The Galaxy Buds3 charging case has been redesigned, moving from the familiar clamshell shape to a sleek, rectangular vertical box similar to the AirPods Pro. The overall charging box has an extremely high level of finish with plastic material covered with a matte paint layer. The weight of the charging box is only 5.4g, so it is extremely light and comfortable to hold in your hand.
Compared to the Pro version, the Galaxy Buds3 has cut the LED light feature on the charging case to reduce costs and create a difference. However, the IP57 water resistance is still maintained.
The charging cover features a transparent design, allowing for easy visibility from the outside.
The bottom of the box features a flat surface with embossed parameters and information. It also houses the Type-C charging port and the button for pairing with other devices.
The second change is in the housing design and style of the earphones. The Galaxy Buds3 has an earbud design with a long stem and sharp cuts.

Comfortable and Easy Fit
The feeling of wearing Galaxy Buds3 on my ears is quite light. However, for someone who is used to wearing in-ear headphones and has a slightly large ear cavity like me, wearing Galaxy Buds3 is uncomfortable and fits well.
For those who have used earbuds before, they will love the feeling of wearing these headphones. You can easily control essential functions, such as pausing or playing music, activating noise cancellation, and managing AI directly on the earbud with its responsive touch surface.

With smartphones, we witnessed the success of Samsung when the company first introduced interesting AI features on the Galaxy S24 series and Z Fold6. Are these AI features useful in the latest true wireless earbuds if they are only compatible with supported Samsung phones?
The Galaxy Buds3 offers impressive AI features. The Real-time Translator lets you hear translations directly through the earbuds and record content on Samsung smartphones. AI also fine-tunes the EQ and ANC based on how the headphones are worn.
In addition, Samsung also can listen to high-quality Hi-Fi music with Ultra High-Quality Sound 24bit/96kHz technology. You can enjoy top-quality sound from lossless music files without needing wired headphones. However, this feature is currently only compatible with Samsung phones that support Samsung Seamless Codec HiFi.
The Galaxy Buds3 stands out with AI-enhanced active noise cancellation (ANC). Earbuds are often not highly rated for noise cancellation due to design characteristics.
My experience when opening this feature on Galaxy Buds3 is quite good. The Buds3 create a noticeable pressure on the ear, which can be uncomfortable. This issue may be related to the design, so Samsung might need to adjust the noise cancellation. With music at 60% volume, the earbuds reduces around 85-90% of surrounding noise.
The Galaxy AI feature on the Buds3 intelligently analyzes ambient sound. The TWS will automatically switch to ambient sound mode when there is a voice or car horn. Using the earbuds in the office for music and chatting with colleagues is quite effective. While not perfect, I appreciate this feature on the Galaxy Buds3.
With the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously, I can easily manage remote meetings on my laptop while quickly switching to my smartphone for music or study.
Users can also adjust noise cancellation features, EQ, open high-quality music listening features, 360 sound technology,… and other features via the Wearable application.
Sound
Galaxy Buds3 has a warm and energetic sound quality, focusing on the bass range, so it is suitable for vibrant music such as POP, EDM, Hip Hop, etc. The bass is powerful with a clean and plentiful presence, though it could benefit from more resonance. The earbuds handle the mid-range effectively, offering high detail. They keep the treble range moderate without being too bright.
With the song “Espresso – Sabrina Carpenter”, Galaxy Buds3 expressed the spirit of the song well with solid and vibrant bass, but the overall bass for me is not very satisfying, the sub-bass is not deep, it sounds powerful but a bit shallow and lacks a bit of quantity.
I listened to the album “The Tortured Poets Department – Taylor Swift” in the folk-pop genre, the earphones handled the vocals quite smoothly, and the details in the music were well processed and clear. The instruments stood out lightly on the background music and did not overwhelm the vocals. However, one thing to note is that you should let the Buds3 fit snugly in your ears to enjoy the music at its best.
Overall, the sound quality of the Galaxy Buds3 is average. The earbuds perform well across all sound ranges, with especially notable performance in the bass.
Battery life
Galaxy Buds3 offers a battery life that, while reliable, may not stand out against some competitors in the same price range. You can use the earbuds for about 6 hours, which decreases to 5 hours with the ANC feature turned on.
My experience aligns closely with the given specifications, with only minor differences. Additionally, the charging case extends usage by 30 hours, ensuring you can use the Buds3 for extended periods without concern.
