Fujifilm X-T1 IR dedicated camera for IR and UV Photography Launched

For those who like infrared and ultraviolet photography which may not really popular. To capture infrared and ultraviolet pictures from the camera is quite simple. But with the popularity of digital platforms, it is quite complex for one camera to capture high-quality Digital Infrared Photography or ultraviolet photographs, requiring the intervention into the camera structure and appropriate calibration.The Fujifilm is a rare manufacturers that producing dedicated camera for infrared/ultraviolet photography. Historically the Fujifilm Finepix S3 Pro UVIR camera. And the upcoming Fujifilm X-T1 IR based on the original X-T1. The Fujifilm X-T1 IR camera will be completely identical to the X-T1, including good dust and water-resistant body structure, magnesium alloy body, high resolution 2.36 million pixels and electronic viewfinder. The only difference is that the Fujifilm X-T1 IR features 16.3-megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor, Professional-grade infrared technology from the ultraviolet, visible and infrared portions of the spectrum, more precisely, spectrum range up to 380nm – 1,000nm.

In addition to applications such as crime scene investigation, fine art photography, healthcare diagnostics and observation, and other scientific apps are critically important in these fields because it allows users to see information that is not visible to the human eye.

The Fujifilm X-T1 IR will be available for purchase in October 2015, priced at $1,699.
