Freetel Musashi Flip Phone with 8MP Camera in USA

Recently, Freetel Mobile company from Japan has launched the flip phone, the Freetel Musashi in under its Made by Japan initiative. Now this Freetel flip phone is available for purchase in US market through Amazon.com, pricing it at $248. This Freetel Musashi USA variant is unlocked that listed online and it is available in only Champagne Gold color variant. However, Freetel USA has not announced precise availability.

The Freetel Japan, the company first introduced the flip phone at the MWC 2016 event at Barcelona in February this year and said then it would be released in USA and other markets soon after.

The Freetel Musashi features a dual 4.0-inch TFT LCD display with WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution that is rated to deliver a pixel density of 233ppi. It comes with a full physical feature keypad with touch screen display so it could be comfortable for both younger as well as older people. 

This Freetel Phone is powered by a 1.0GHz quad-core processor that is backed by MediaTek MT6735 64-bit chipset, clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB with the help of microSD card.

On the camera front, this Android Smart Flip Phone comes with an 8-megapixel primary autofocus camera with LED flash and some basic features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, and also supports HD (720p) video recording at 30fps. It also includes a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. 

The device runs Android 5.1 Lillipop OS out of the box, and packs a 2000mAh battery with no word on talk-time and standby time. For now, there is no official word on 4G connectivity, though third-party sites do list it, and at the price, we can assume. The phone also includes FM radio and will come in Champagne Gold color. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, dual-band, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack.
