Huawei’s new ANC TWS earbuds FreeBuds 6i are now available for pre-order in the UK. According to the manufacturer, they offer the best Bluetooth earphones with noise cancellation for £90, previously exclusive to higher-priced models, and incorporate larger drivers.
The new Huawei FreeBuds 6i offers several improvements compared to the previous generation FreeBuds 5i. These include Huawei’s new intelligent Active Noise Cancellation 3.0, claimed to be the best noise cancellation technology to date. This was previously reserved for the Pro series, but with the new FreeBuds 6i, it is now also available in the price range under £90.
The technology measures the ambient noise every 2.6 microseconds. Combined with 2.4 times higher computing power, it adapts the noise cancellation precisely to different scenarios within one second.
Huawei has equipped the new FreeBuds 6i with a noise filtering chamber. This chamber, based on the Helmholtz resonance principle, is designed to reduce disturbing noises in the 1–3 kHz medium and high-frequency range.
The 3-microphone system includes an additional external microphone for improved noise detection and increases the signal-to-noise ratio by 50% compared to the predecessor. The 11 mm dynamic quad magnet drivers produce counter-sound waves, enhancing noise suppression by 100% overall. According to the manufacturer, this results in an average reduction of ambient noise by 27 dB.
Huawei promises impressive sound with strong bass down to 14 Hz, enhanced by 50% more powerful quad magnet drivers. The new Huawei FreeBuds 6i supports Bluetooth 5.3 and the LDAC HD audio codec, and it also boasts Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. Paired with the included charging case, the earbuds offer up to 35 hours of battery life.

The new in-ear Huawei FreeBuds 6i active noise cancellation true wireless earbuds are officially available now. Available for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk, these items come in white, black, and purple for £89.99. Huawei will release their best new earbuds on June 18, 2024.
