The PRONTO LM-SNE-MKII adapter from FotodioX allows Leica M-mount lenses with manual focus to work with autofocus on select Sony E mount mirrorless cameras. By using the camera’s phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) system, the screw-type focusing mechanism of this adapter physically shifts the lens position to 5mm in the Z-axis, allowing autofocusing even with manual focus lenses.
The adapter supports AF-S and AF-C focusing as well as face detection autofocus and 5-axis image stabilization on included cameras. A built-in function button allows the user to enter different focusing modes as well as set the focal length and maximum aperture of the lens used on the adapter for optimal compatibility.
The performance of the adapter, according to the manufacturer, is optimal with lenses with 50 mm and wider AF, it is recommended to use lenses weighing up to 600 g.

Last month, Sony has also introduced the G Master full frame prime lens – FE 50mm f1.2 GM (model name SEL-50F12GM). The compact, lightweight lens offers high resolution and expressive bokeh, combined with efficient autofocus functions and professional control options.
The maximum aperture of F1.2 combines a shallow depth of field with an abundance of creative possibilities for expression and high light intensity, which enables shorter shutter speeds and lower ISO values in poor lighting conditions. This prime lens is particularly suitable for portraits, wedding photography, videos, and much more. The lens is priced at $1,998.
