Fossil has launched the Gen 6 Wellness Edition hybrid smartwatch. The new Fossil hybrid watch features an e-ink display that provides up to two weeks of battery life. Built-in lights help you read the screen in low light, and analog hands tell the time. The Fossil hybrid smartwatch’s health features include SpO2, heart rate zone, and VO2 Max tracking.
The Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition hybrid smartwatch is now available. The wearable has health features like tracking blood oxygen levels (SpO2) and heart rate zones. The Fossil smartwatch Gen 6 can automatically detect a workout if you forget to trigger the exercise log, and the device can also estimate your VO2 Max, helping you understand your fitness level.
Other features include sleep quality tracking, Amazon Alexa voice commands, and customizable watch faces. The main difference between this new Fossil hybrid smartwatch Wellness Edition model and the Fossil Gen 6 Wellness Edition (approx. $300 on Amazon) is the screen; the hybrid version has a 1.10-inch (~28mm) E-ink display, while the regular model has a 1.28-inch (~33mm) AMOLED display. The E-ink display allows the gadget to last up to two weeks on a single charge, which significantly improves battery life compared to the estimated 24 hours for the standard version.
The Fossil hybrid watch model’s charging time is slower, as it takes 50 minutes to reach an 80% charge, instead of the 30 minutes required by the original model. Built-in lights make it easy to view the E-ink screen at night, and analog hands in front of the screen indicate the time.
