The second generation of the popular Inspire series Fitness Tracker watch from Fitbit has just been officially introduced, in addition to a modernized design and a brighter display, the Fitbit Inspire 2 health tracker also offers the longest battery life of all Fitbit products to date.
Just like its predecessor (about $59 on Amazon), Fitbit mainly focuses on the fitness features of the Inspire 2, the smart tracker continuously measures the wearer’s heart rate, and the activity is recorded throughout the day. The Inspire 2 is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters so that swimming training can also be tracked.
However, the Inspire 2 lacks integrated GPS, for example, to record the route of a run or to accurately display the distance and speed you have to bring your smartphone with you.
Sleep tracking is possible, but the evaluation is less detailed than with the new Fitbit Sense – similar to the Apple Watch (approx. $299 on Amazon) you only get an evaluation of the duration of sleep, the sleep phases are not shown, after all, you get the Fitbit – typical sleep rating to be able to assess at a glance how good the quality of sleep is.
But not all features are limited to the health and fitness of the wearer; the fitness trackers for women can also display notifications received on the connected smartphone, and the dial can be selected from a predefined selection. The battery lasts for up to ten days, depending on usage, almost twice as long as its predecessor.
