Google introduces the Fitbit Ace LTE, the best calling smartwatch for kids, featuring voice calling capabilities, a GPS tracker, and fitness monitoring. It features pre-installed video games designed to encourage exercise.

The brand new Fitbit Ace tracker is more reminiscent of a Fitbit Versa 4 than an Ace 3, which is mainly due to the rectangular OLED touchscreen with its pixel density of 333 PPI. The smart watch can receive calls and targets children, but unlike most competitors, Google opts for a slim plastic case with a Gorilla Glass 3 display.
This design gives the Ace LTE the appearance of a modern smartwatch rather than a toy, and an optional rubber bumper enhances its robustness for use by small children. The Fitbit Ace tracker’s highlight is its games, which users unlock through fitness activities. Users must complete a workout or achieve specific steps to continue playing after a certain time.
Google launches Eejie, a Tamagotchi-style device, allowing room, clothing, and accessory purchases with arcade tickets instead of real money. These tickets can be earned through sports or mini-games. Google sells the bracelets as collectibles, unlocking matching items and watch faces for the Eejie when attached.

Thanks to the integrated GPS module, parents can always see where their child is with the smartwatch. The LTE modem, on the other hand, allows communication via text messages and phone calls, making the Fitbit Ace LTE an interesting alternative to a smartphone for younger children. Parents can set up and manage the watch using an associated iOS and Android app. Google states that the battery provides 16 hours of life with LTE and occasional gaming. The watch has a heart rate sensor but does not have an ECG.
