Firmware Updates for Panasonic Lumix S1R, S1, GH5, GH5S and G9 Announced

Along with the new LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm F4 and 70-200mm F2.8 OIS lenses for Sony E and L-mounts, Panasonic has also announced firmware updates for the LUMIX S1R, S1, GH5, GH5S, and G9 cameras.

LUMIX S1 and S1R with firmware version 1.3 receive the previously promised support for CFexpress Type B cards, Profoto wireless transmitters “Air Remote TTL-O/P” and “Profoto Connect-O/P” support, improved AF performance and expanded support for Sigma lenses with L mount.

With firmware version 2.0 for the LUMIX G9 receives updates in the ability to record 10-bit 4: 2:2 video in 4K and the ability to record to an external recorder via HDMI with a maximum frequency of up to 60 frames per second.

GH5 Firmware Version 2.6 and GH5S Firmware Version 1.4 add compatibility with Profoto Air Remote TTL-O / P and Connect-O / P synchronizers. In addition, autofocus performance has been improved as well as Animal Detect has been added for the GH5S and G9.
