FiiO has introduced its first closed-back headphones with active noise cancelling called EH3 NC at CanJam London. The FiiO EH3 NC is expected to compete with today’s big names like Bose and Sony due to its high sound quality and high noise cancelling, along with an extremely competitive price of around $250 and will be officially available to buy in September.
This is a long-cherished project of FiiO was first leaked in image renders as the EH3 back in March 2018 on FiiO’s CEO James Chung’s Facebook page. EH3 NC is currently in the final stage of completion before entering mass production. It has been displayed at CanJam London this time is intended for users to experience and provide objective, feedback reviews before entering the final stage. In terms of design, FiiO EH3 NC has a quite safe design with strong masculine lines. The earcup surface with 2.5D Coated Glass, the Earpad and Headband sections are also made of high-quality leather to ensure durability and comfort when used.
The FiiO EH3 NC will use active noise canceling technology combined with FeedForward recording technology (FF: recording from outside) and FeedBack (FB: recording feedback inside the headset) then the whole signal sound and noise will be handled by a high-quality active noise-canceling chip from ADI.
The FiiO EH3 model is a closed-back model equipped with a 45mm diameter dynamic driver with a Titanium diaphragm covered with a Titanium layer to ensure superior audio quality as previous FiiO headphone products. Equipped with a 1,000mAh battery and can use up to 40 hours continuously on a single charge. Full charge time is only about 2 hours and standby time is up to 1000 hours.
Connections using the top chip receiver of Qualcomm CSR8675 to support Bluetooth 5.0 and all Bluetooth codecs today include: SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, LDHC (HWA), the product will also be available NFC one-touch connectivity. In addition, users can also use the headset via 3.5mm Line-In input port and USB Audio Input port.
