Facebook Watch Now Active in USA | Competition On with YouTube

In an apparent bid to take on YouTube, Facebook rolled out Watch last month, Facebook Watch is a dedicated video platform to watch videos and TV shows has been active now in the USA and can be accessed via mobile and desktop devices. There is no further news regarding the expansion of Facebook Watch in other regions now.

The Facebook Watch will be available on Facebook’s native mobile apps, desktop site as well as TV apps. Users who lived in the USA will now see the TV icon in the mobile navigation bar and desktop site.

As of now, Facebook is focusing on reality shows, which partners are producing since they are cheap, don’t require set scripts, according to Tech Crunch. Facebook had signed deals with millennial-focused news and entertainment creators Vox Media, BuzzFeed, ATTN, Group Nine Media and others to produce shows, both scripted and unscripted.

Facebook Watch is offering a range of different options for discovering videos, including programs or segment like Today’s Spotlight, New This Week, Popular Now, What Friends Are Watching, Most Talked About, Suggested For You, and a special 10 Minutes Or More spot for long-form videos.
