Meet the HP EliteBook Ultra G1q: The Ultimate 2.2K Snapdragon X Elite Laptop Now Available!

HP has launched the EliteBook Ultra G1q 2.2K laptop, a business-class alternative to the OmniBook X. Although it retails for $550 more than the OmniBook X, the EliteBook Ultra G1q Copilot+ PC doesn’t stand out from its OmniBook counterpart.

HP has updated its EliteBook lineup with the EliteBook Ultra G1q, now the flagship model in its commercial series. HP equips the computer with AI powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 and a 59Wh (3-cell) battery. The EliteBook Ultra G1q also features a 14-inch 2.2K IPS display with 300 nits of brightness.

However, HP is installing Windows 11 Pro by default and packs a Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 modem that supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, compared to the MediaTek equivalents inside the OmniBook X. Surprisingly, this decision leaves the EliteBook Ultra G1q running on older connectivity standards than the OmniBook X, which has Bluetooth 5.3/Wi-Fi 6E or Bluetooth 5.4/Wi-Fi 7 modems.

The 2.2K resolution (2240 x 1400) touchscreen delivers vibrant visuals and allows for intuitive scrolling through content. With Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) support, a 5MP IR webcam, dual microphones, and stereo speakers, you can enjoy clear video calls with teammates and clients.
