EK Water Blocks EK-Quantum Inertia D5 PWM D-RGB liquid cooling PC Pump: Price, Availability

EK Water Blocks, a specialist in liquid cooling PC components, has recently unveiled the EK-Quantum Inertia D5 PWM D-RGB pump. According to the EKWB manufacturer, this is an evolution of the popular EK-XTOP Revo D5 model, featuring addressable backlighting and an updated design that matches the style of the EK Quantum Line. In addition, by slightly changing the design, it was possible to increase productivity (an increase of up to 15%).

The EK-Quantum Inertia D5 PWM D-RGB liquid cooler pump is offered in two versions – Acetal with a black cover and a Plexi is a transparent one. To prevent the backlighting LEDs from hitting the eyes, they are hidden under a white matte diffuser or a black opaque ring, depending on the cover material. In any case, the 50cm power cable and the 60cm PWM signal cable are hidden in black insulation. The backlight is compatible with popular control systems.

The description mentions that the EK Water Blocks system features a fully rounded design, offering greater usability and allowing installation at any angle within 360° of rotation. A special rubber shock absorber is used to de-couple the main pump body from the mounting clip for silent operation, free of vibration-induced noise.

The D5 liquid cooling PC pump is equipped with an electronically commutated spherical motor. In a pump with a spherical motor, the only moving part is a spherical shaped rotor that is held in place by a bearing ball made of ultra-hard and wear-resistant ceramic. Additionally, horizontal and vertical positioning are supported for easier tube routing possibilities.

Price and availability

The EK-Quantum Inertia D5 PWM D-RGB – Plexi model has been priced at $155.99 and it can be purchased through the Amazon.com online store.

EK-Quantum Inertia D5 PWM D-RGB – Acetal, on the other hand, will cost $159.99 and it is also available to buy via the Amazon.com website.

Back in May, EKWB has also made available the new PC liquid cooling system called EK-Quantum Momentum ROG Rampage VI Encore D-RGB monoblock for the Asus motherboard – ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore.
