EIZO CG2400S Color Gamut Monitor Now Available to Pre-Order

Japanese premium manufacturer EIZO has recently launched a new wide gamut monitor under its ColorEdge series. Specifically, the Eizo CG2400S serves as the official successor to the ColorEdge CG2420, which was originally released in 2016. In terms of features, the new display boasts a 24.1-inch IPS panel with WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels, 16:10). Moreover, it offers 10-bit color depth, a 1800:1 contrast ratio, and a typical brightness of 400 cd/m².

EIZO says the device covers 99 percent of Adobe RGB and 98 percent of DCI-P3. The device also supports HDR post-production with features like HDR10 HLG, PQ gamma curves, and True Black filtering, which compensates for color distortion caused by optical shifts. It meets all creative needs, making it suitable for image editing, design, printing, and video editing.

To ensure consistently high color precision and consistent image display, the 24.1-inch gamut monitor features a digital uniformity equalizer, an integrated calibration sensor, and a 16-bit 3D LUT. EIZO also includes its proprietary color management software, ColorNavigator 7. Users can recalibrate brightness, white point, and gamma using hardware, either manually or automatically if desired. An out-of-gamut mode highlights parts of a Rec. 2020 image that couldn’t be reproduced in the Rec. 709 color space.

The interface selection includes DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode and 70 watts of PD. The official information material doesn’t mention a KVM switch, so it likely isn’t included. The ergonomics shine with tilt, rotation, height adjustment (155 mm), pivot, and VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm). An anti-glare hood is also included. According to the specs, the monitor’s typical power consumption is 17 watts.
