Dyson PH04 3-in-1 Air Purifier with Formaldehyde Sensor

Dyson introduced the new generation Dyson PH04 humidifier-air purifier. The new Dyson purifier features an innovative solid-state formaldehyde sensor, a HEPA 13 sealed filtration system, and hygienic humidification technology.

With a solid-state sensor that captures formaldehyde, Dyson PH04 automatically purifies the air of this harmful, colorless, gaseous pollutant. Formaldehyde is emitted by pieces of furniture and wood products with formaldehyde resins (for example, plywood, chipboard, and fiberboard), insulation, as well as paints, wallpapers, varnishes, and cleaning agents.

Another feature of the PH04 Dyson humidifier is the new air duct design, capable of creating a hermetically sealed HEPA 13 filtration system that prevents contaminants from bypassing and re-entering the room. According to the manufacturer, the PH04 Dyson humidifier purifier captures 99.95% of particles down to 0.1 microns, including allergens, bacteria, viruses, pollen, and mold spores.

In addition, the Dyson PH04 hygienically humidifies the air by purifying the tank water used for evaporation. It uses ultraviolet C (UV-C) and silver thread technology to kill 99.9% of bacteria. Dyson engineers have developed a highly reflective fluoroplastic tube that reflects ultraviolet C rays along its entire length, exposing bacteria to multiple exposures.

With Dyson Air Multiplier technology, the unit can distribute purified air throughout the room without an additional fan. Air quality data is collected by nine sensors, and in Auto mode, the PH04 Dyson purifier automatically reacts to changes in air quality and humidity.

Dyson PH04 price and availability

The Dyson PH04 humidifier-air purifier went on sale via Bestbuy.com at $899.99.

Last month, Amazon introduced the Smart Air Quality Monitor, a new product for Amazon air purifier models for its Alexa ecosystem. The sensor measures the air quality in a room and communicates this via Alexa. It measures the air quality in a room to provide information about possible air pollutants. As is well known, these occur much more frequently indoors than in the fresh air and cost $69.99.
