Dolby atmos spatial sound speakers: Sonos Era 100 and Era 300

Sonos has launched Era 100 and Era 300 with Dolby atmos spatial sound, which it touts as a “new era of sound” thanks to various hardware and software improvements over previous models. Although that remains to be seen, the Era 100 succeeds the Sonos One, while the Era 300 stands out as a new product segment for Sonos.

As Sonos marketing images show, the Era 100’s chassis has been redesigned compared to that of the Sonos One. Additionally, Sonos equips it with a large mid-range speaker and two angled tweeters for stereo sound and bass reproduction. According to Sonos, the speaker supports AirPlay 2, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi connectivity; there’s no direct 3.5mm input, but there is a USB Type-C port that supports line-in via an adaptor.

The same goes for the Era 300, although this one has six speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Meanwhile, both speakers support touch controls, as well as Sonos Voice Control or Amazon Alexa.
