After a huge fiasco of Ringing Bells Freedom 251 smartphone, another budget player named Docoss has been entered in the Indian market along with its only Rs. 888 – approximately $13.37 USD smartphone named Docoss X1. Docoss, a very new manufacturer in the Indian market that seems to have caught the attention of smartphone lovers by presenting its Rs. 888 smartphone that sounds good with its acceptable specifications.
Docoss X1 booking via online on its official website was turned on 26th April, and also tried to book the handset, but the website going down or showing some kind of annoying errors due to the heavy traffic or what God knows. But today on 29th April, I was able to book the Docoss X1 smartphone, as you can see in the image above. In this image we can also see the message that “Please keep request id for reference”, and after a few minutes i got an email with greeting like “Thank you for your interest in DOCOSS products. Your order has been received and will be processed once payment has been confirmed.” Here we can see Cash On Delivery payment options, and shipping charges Rs. 99 extra, but I had booked 2 units and in the mail as you can see below it calculates only 1 unit price, quite surprising.
The smartphone will be up for booking till Friday 10pm at company’s website or via SMS. Yesterday afternoon, Docoss’ Twitter account tweeted, “Don’t panic real phone real images,” alongside 4 photos of the Docoss X1 that shows certain applications are pre-installed, including Google+, Hangouts, Youtube etc.
Apart from Docoss X1 booking, let’s recall Docoss X1 specifications; it features a 4-inch display with 400×480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 processor; 1GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage can be expandable with the help of microSD card up to 32GB. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and packs in 1300mAh battery under the hood.
