The new update also added the ability to view HDMI live broadcast by connecting the FPV goggles (v01.00.05.00 or above) to the Smart Controller (v01.00.07.00 or above). By connecting the goggles to the Smart Controller using USB-C cable, users can see the camera view of the air unit on the screen of the Smart Controller, and then can transmit the live view from the Smart Controller to other display devices through an HDMI cable.

New firmware v01.00.0700 can be downloaded on the official website of the company. It can also be downloaded directly from the Smart Controller or using DJI Assistant 2 software for Windows and macOS. If your Smart Controller is version v01.00.4.75 or lower, you must use DJI Assistant 2 to be able to update it to the latest version.

Let me remind you that DJI Smart Controller (priced at $749 on Bhphotovideo and Amazon) works on the high-quality video transmission technology OcuSync 2.0 and switches between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. This improves the quality of the system connection and the quality of image transmission over long distances (up to 8 km).

In addition, it operates at temperatures from -20° C to + 40° C, providing a stable connection to the drone and transmitting HD video. And with the Go Share function and the DJI GO 4 app, you can easily transfer photos and videos from the Smart Controller to your mobile device. In addition to everything, the remote control is equipped with the SkyTalk function – with this function, the view from the drone’s camera can be broadcast in real-time on social networks, for example, on Facebook and Instagram.

In addition, DJI has also introduced its new compact foldable drone – the Mavic Air 2 (Hands-On), which received significant improvements over the previous model and surpasses the DJI Mavic 2 model.
