DJI Wireless Mic offers a range of 250 meters and a TWS-style charging case

DJI has introduced a new wireless microphone system that is compatible with most cameras, smartphones, and laptops. With long battery life, a convenient charging case, and simple operation, the DJI Mic is perfect for vlogs, podcasts, or YouTube videos.

Last but not least, the brand new DJI wireless Mic is exciting because the receiver and two microphones fit into a compact charging case, which can extend the five hours of runtime to a total of 15 hours. The transmitter and receiver automatically pair with each other as soon as they are removed from the charging case, making the setup virtually automatic.

The receiver has a small touch screen that shows the remaining battery charge of the microphones, the signal strength, and the volume. DJI promises a range of 250 meters, although this only applies outdoors with little interference. However, the wireless 2.4 GHz connection should also remain stable in difficult environments such as train stations or shopping centers.

The receiver can optionally be mounted on the flash shoe of a camera. The connection is made either via 3.5 mm TRS, via USB-C, or Lightning so that connection to smartphones and computers is also possible. The DJI microphone themselves can either be attached to the collar or other items of clothing using magnets.

The DJI wireless mic has an internal memory that stores the last 14 hours that were recorded – this is intended to prevent the loss of a recording in the event of technical problems. Audio is recorded in stereo at 24-bit at 48kHz.
