DJI Mavic 3 revealed with Hasselblad dual camera and longer runtime

DJI has finally unveiled the new drones Mavic 3 and the Mavic 3 Cine that officially confirmed specs of the exciting Mavic Drone with dual camera, Hasselblad camera, and longer battery life to see.

DJI offers two versions of the Mavic 3, which differ from one another in two very important ways. The very expensive Cine version has 1 TB of built-in flash memory and the ability to record videos in Apple ProRes 422 HQ – an indispensable feature for professional users.

Both DJI Mavic drone models have the same camera hardware, namely a 20-megapixel camera with a sensor in 4/3-inch format, which has a lens with a focal length of 24 mm (35 mm equivalent) and a variable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11 is fitted.

There is also a zoom camera with a focal length of 162 mm and an aperture of f/4.4. The main camera can record 20 MP photos and also save them as RAW files, videos can be recorded in 5.1K resolution with up to 60 frames per second, and with a firmware update, the DJI Mavic drone will also be able to record 4K videos in the future Record 120 fps. The partnership with Hasselblad is intended to enable the Mavic 3 to display extremely accurate colors.

The battery life increases dramatically compared to the Mavic 2 Pro (approx. $1,500 on Amazon). The drone can fly for a full 46 minutes with a full battery, at least according to the manufacturer’s information. To achieve this goal, DJI had to use more efficient motors and a larger battery, while reducing the weight of many of the drone’s components.

The Mavic 3 can be controlled from a distance of up to 15 kilometers and send a live video in 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second to the controller. With the help of ActiveTrack 5.0, the Mavic 3 can track a subject and keep it in the picture, even if it moves sideways or diagonally – an upgrade compared to the previous model, which was only able to reliably track linear movements.

The DJI Mavic 3 price is $2,199 on Amazon.com, Bhphotovideo.com, Bestbuy.com, Adorama.com, and Amazon.co.uk websites. It includes the drone, battery, charger, remote control, and three pairs of spare propellers. The $2,999 Fly More Combo also comes with three batteries, six pairs of propellers, and an ND filter set (ND4 / 8/16/32).

If you buy the Mavic 3 Cine version, you get the drone with 1 TB storage and ProRes 422 HQ support as well as a remote control with integrated display, additional ND filters, a transport box, a charging station, and some cables for $4,999.
