The Devialet Dione soundbar is now available for pre-order for $2,400. The best Dolby Atmos soundbar system has 17 speakers, including eight subwoofers. The wireless soundbar creates an immersive 3D sound experience using Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 technology, and it’s capable of upscaling mono or stereo sound to mimic that quality.
Devialet has launched the Dione soundbar for home cinema. The sound bar speaker has 17 self-contained high-end speakers, to deliver deep bass from 24Hz and clear highs, including nine full-range aluminum speakers and eight long-throw aluminum subwoofers.
The company claims the best Dolby Atmos soundbar offers a 3D cinematic experience with Dolby Atmos 5.1.2, bringing an extra layer of sound from above. Devialet’s patented SPACE algorithm scales mono or stereo sound to mimic the immersive experience.
There is the ORB at the center of the Dione soundbar which allows the device to adapt depending on the position of the soundbar. The device has four calibration microphones to customize the acoustics to suit your room. The product, which measures ~47.2 x 3.5 x 6.5 inches (1200 x 88 x 165 mm), can deliver up to 101 dB of sound pressure (SPL) at one meter.
You can connect to the device using the HDMI 2.1 port with ARC and eARC (Audio Return Channel) for zero bandwidth throttling. You can also connect via Bluetooth 5.0 or Apple Airplay 2, and the speaker supports Spotify Connect. Several modes come with the soundbar, including Movie Mode, Music Mode, and Spatial Mode, which enhance the sound of wirelessly connected devices.

You can control the soundbar in the accompanying app, using a compatible smart remote, or with the standalone controller, sold separately. The Devialet Dione soundbar is available for pre-order for $2,400 on Amazon.com and Bhphotovideo.com and is expected to ship on April 26.
