Denon announced the release of the HEOS HomeCinema HS2 soundbar. The new model adds to the range of HEOS multi-room audio products belonging to the latest HS2 series, which already includes various products. The sound is diffused through two 12.7 cm midrange and two 20 mm tweeters. The low frequencies are instead entrusted to a wireless subwoofer.
HomeCinema HS2 supports high-resolution audio and can, therefore, playback FLAC, ALAC, AIFF and DSD files. In terms of movies, compatibility with Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS is guaranteed. There are also Bluetooth and AirPlay supports, AirPlay comes later via a firmware update. The sources can be connected via HDMI: resolutions up to Ultra HD are supported and the audio return channel (ARC) is present.
Other available connections include an optical input, a coaxial input, an analog input on 3.5mm jack and a USB port. To complete the equipment is the compatibility with the voice assistant Alexa of Amazon, integrated starting from next summer through an update.
The HEOS HomeCinema HS2 price is set at GBP 699 and we will update you with availability and price for US market soon.
