Denon AVR-X3600H 9.2 channel AV Receiver With Voice Assistants: Price, and Availability

Denon has announced the AVR-X3600H 9.2 channel AV receiver. The new model replaces the previous X3500H, X1600H, and X2600H AV receivers. As usual, the “H” indicates support for the HEOS streaming protocol, the multi-room system created by Denon. HEOS products can interface with each other to spread the music in every room of the house. Denon AVR-X3600H can manage up to 9.2 channels with supply equal to 105 W (8 ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.08% 2 piloted channels).

Support for various audio formats includes practically everything you could need, from Dolby Atmos to DTS: X via Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. The amplifier has HDMI 2.0b inputs with HDCP 2.3 compatible with 60Hz Ultra HD resolution signals, HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG. The integrated video processor can upscale the signals up to Ultra HD resolution at 50 and 60 frames per second. Recall that X2600H instead stops at 24, 25 or 30 frames per second. Through the ISF modes, various adjustments can be made to the video settings.

Connectivity includes Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth as well as support for DLNA and AirPlay 2. From USB and local network you can play MP3, WMA, FLAC, AAC, WAV, AIFF and DSD audio files up to 5.6MHz. The X3600H also allows the use of TuneIn, Spotify Connect, Tidal and Deezer internet radios, and online services.

Automatic calibration is performed by the Audyssey MultEQ XT system with Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Dynamic EQ and Audyssey LFC. As on the lower-end products, the Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization function is present, which virtually recreates the sound of a Dolby Atmos system without the need to install dedicated speakers. The X3600H also features Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri voice assistants.

The available connections include 8 inputs (1 front) and 3 HDMI outputs (the 2 supports eARC, 5 analogue audio inputs on RCA, 1 MM phono input (Moving Magnet) 2 component inputs, 3 composite video inputs, 2 optical and 2 coaxial inputs, an RS-232C port, a front USB port, an Ethernet port and 11.2 pre-out outputs. Support for Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and FM radio tuner complete the equipment.

Denon AVR-X3600H price in USA has been set at $1,099 and is already up for pre-order via Amazon.com and will be released on July 15, 2019.
