Dell XPS 15 9510 with Tiger Lake-H, Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti, and 4K Touchscreen

Dell is bringing out an update for its popular XPS 15 9510 just in time for the launch of the new Intel Tiger Lake-H processors. Unchanged in design, there are now 45 watt CPUs of the 11th core generation and an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 Ti as standard. If you want it fancy, treat yourself to the 15.6-inch OLED display with 3.5K resolution.

In 2021, the Dell XPS 15 9510 is still a damn compact 15-inch model with a high screen-to-body ratio of 92.9 percent, but not too much has changed compared to the previous year, which is also due to the comparatively shows a small change in the model number 9510 vs 9500. But when we are on the subject of displays, there are still innovations to report.

As before, the new XPS 15 laptop is also available with a classic IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, but in 2021 there will also be configurations with a 4K touch display with a DisplayHDR400 certificate and an OLED touch display, the latter being made by Dell with 3,456 x 2,160 pixels Specified as a 3.5K option and supports DisplayHDR500TB as well as 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space – and of course significantly higher contrast than the IPS models.

The focus is probably on the performance update inside. Based on the 11th core generation with the new 45 watts Tiger Lake H chips, the new Dell XPS 15 2021 delivers significantly more computing power, plus there is a maximum of 64 GB DDR4 RAM and SSD options up to 4 TB PCIe 4×4. This is optionally combined with a 45W Nvidia RTX 3050 or a 45W Nvidia Geforce RTX 3050 Ti. In terms of ports, battery, wireless, and unfortunately also the webcam, nothing has changed compared to its predecessor.
