Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 convertible laptop has been introduced at CES 2018, the company’s first to run by the 8th generation Intel Quad Core processors and AMD Radeon RX Vega M integrated graphics with 4GB of HBM RAM. The new laptop will be available from spring 2018 with a price starting at $1299.
Dell XPS 15 9575 laptop uses a 4K display with an InfinityEdge installation. Essential screen frames and a 16mm thickness make it to date, the most compact and slim convertible in the 15-inch category. Dell provides a very high-quality panel: 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB spectrum and professional adjustments from the Dell Cinema pre-installed software. In the press release of the presentation, the 4K viewing experience on Netflix is approached, although no explicit certification is required.
Another new feature is the Dell Premium Active Pen with 4096 levels of pressure, tilt functionality, magnetic hook on the side of the frame, and Wacom AES 2.0 technology. This Bluetooth 4.2 stylus pen will be compatible with other Dell 2-in-1 notebooks and will have the maximum possible integration with Windows 10 (OneNote, Cortana, MPP and so on). Dell Premium Active Pen (PN579X) will go on sale in the US for $99 from April 2018.
The rest of the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 convertible laptop data sheet provides a 15-hour battery life (we do not have an exact figure till date), the specific finish for the heat disposal “GORE Thermal Insulation” seen on XPS 13 2018, and a keyboard based on maglev magnetic levitation technology to reduce thickness without sacrificing travel.
