Dell has updated its Inspiron 5000 series notebook, making available on its website a new variant with a 17-inch display and especially with AMD Rzyen Mobile processors. Let’s talk in detail about the Ryzen 5 2500U and Ryzen 3 2200U models, based on AMD Zen x86 cores and Radeon Vega graphics (Vega 8 and Vega 3 respectively).
New Dell Inspiron 17 5000 models will be available in four variants, all equipped with a 17.3-inch anti-glare FHD display and equipped with WiFi AC, USB 3.1 (Gen 1), HDMI 1.4b, SD player and 42 Wh battery.
The prices of the various models, currently available only in the US, start at $679, a figure that allows you to get your hands on a Ryzen 3 2200U, 8GB of DDR4 2400 MHz RAM (8x 1GB) and mechanical hard drive 1TB 5400 RPM. For $729 instead we will have the same configuration but with 12GB of RAM (8 + 4GB).
Turning to the models with Ryzen 5 2500U instead, in this case, we note that Dell has not provided SSD options for the storage department while using a 2TB hard drive and a 2x 8GB configuration for RAM. The only difference between Ryzen 5 models from $899 and $999 is the presence of the Premium Support Plus coverage.
