Dell S2417DG and SE2717H Monitors for Gamers Announced

With the aim of providing a more realistic gaming experience, Dell introduced two new monitors for gamers. These new Dell Gaming Monitors are almost opposite, not only differ in price, but you will have to choose screen sizes between 24″ 2K TN display with a refresh rate up to 165 Hz or 27″ Full-HD IPS display with a refresh rate of 75 Hz.

First in the list is the Dell S2417DG monitor with screen size of 23.8-inches will be for those who prefer high-end resolution can reach up to 2K (2560 x 1440) and refresh rate is also very high, 165 Hz. But what user can really trade on a monitor that uses a TN panel instead of IPS, which makes low viewing angles and color accuracy is also not as good as IPS panel.

Dell S2417DG monitor comes with a G-Sync technology from NVIDIA and also thanks to a high refresh rates between 30 and 165 Hz. In other specs the screen offers a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 350 cd/m2 brightness, 170/160 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and standard sRGB gamut. Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB) is also there for blur reducing benefits, and NVIDIA 3D vision is supported on this model too. For connectivity, includes DisplayPort, HDMI port and 4x USB 3.0 ports.

Next is the Dell SE2717H, which comes with almost opposite parameters than S2417DG, such as 27-inch screen with the lower resolution, Full-HD (1920 x 1080), also lower refresh rate up to 75 Hz, and using AMD FreeSync technology instead of G-Sync but in return it will have an IPS panel so it can provide 178/178 wide viewing angles. 

This gaming monitor is suitable for those who have high demands on the quality of the color. There is still possibility to get smooth gaming experience with the refresh rate of up to 75 Hz, but the image resolution will stop at Full-HD.
