Dell launches its first premium Chromebook at IFA 2018: it’s the Inspiron Chromebook 14 2-in-1. It is a convertible laptop based on Chrome OS comes with a 14-inch IPS display and FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution enclosed in reduced frames.
It sports a 360-degree hinge as is the case with all 2-in-1s and inside the aluminum body are the Intel Core i3 8130U processor, 4GB of RAM, up to 128GB (eMMC) of storage and a battery that promises up to 15 hours of usage. There is also a backlit keyboard and the possibility of using a capacitive stylus (Wacom digitizer), can be stored in the compartment located under the body when not used.
On the connectivity front, there are two USB-C ports, a USB Type-A, a microSD slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. The weight is 1.8kg. The availability of the Dell Inspiron Chromebook 14 2-in-1 is scheduled for October in the US with prices starting at $599.99.
