With the Inspiron 14 Plus 7420, Dell has introduced a particularly powerful 14 inch laptop that packs Intel Alder Lake-H into a relatively compact case. Compared to the regular Inspiron 14, there’s also a brighter display and a larger battery.
The PC manufacturer introduced a brand new Dell Inspiron 14 Plus, which is just as compact as the cheaper model has a height of 1.95 centimeters and a weight of 1.68 kilograms. However, Dell installs much more powerful components.
Because the Inspiron 14 Plus is available with either an Intel Core i5-12500H or an Intel Core i7-12700H, i.e. with four to six performance cores and eight efficiency cores. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 laptop GPU with 4 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory is also available for an additional charge, which significantly accelerates creative apps and games. The performance of this graphics card is quite enough to smoothly display most current games in 1080p resolution and medium details.
There are also upgrades in other areas compared to the cheaper Inspiron 14: The 14-inch display in 16:10 format has a higher resolution of 2,240 x 1,400 pixels and a brightness of 300 nits, the battery has a capacity of 64 Wh, and charging is over USB-C with up to 90 watts. The device has a Thunderbolt 4 port (USB-C), two USB-A, HDMI 2.0, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader.
