The new Dell Inspiron 14 7415 convertibles come equipped with the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U and AMD Ryzen 7 5700U Lucienne Zen 2 APUs, 360-degree 1080p touchscreens, up to 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and up to 2TB of storage NVMe + SSD and SD card reader. Unfortunately, there is no discrete graphics option like on the Intel variants.
The Dell Inspiron 14 convertible range is enriched with new 7415 models powered by AMD. These latest 2-in-1 laptops feature the new AMD Ryzen 5000U processors but are otherwise very similar to the already existing models Intel Tiger Lake-U variants launch in 2020.
Processor options include the hex-core AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor and the octa-core AMD ryzen™ 7 5700U with integrated graphics Integrated Vega graphics. An important difference from existing Intel-based models is the absence of Nvidia’s Nvidia GeForce MX350 dGPU. Users can choose to add up to 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and up to 2 TB of NVMe nVMe SSD. The 360-degree screen with touch functions features a WVA panel with narrow edges and 1080p resolution. As for the port selection, there is a full optional USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 connector, plus 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, one HDMI 1.4b video output, and one combo audio jack.
Other features include a microSD card reader, 720p camera with shutter slider, Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, fingerprint reader built into the power button, and 41 / 54Wh battery options. The frame is made of aluminum and plastic, is 0.64 inches (16.32 mm) thick, and weighs at least 3.43 lbs (1.56 Kg).
