Dell G5, G5 SE, G7, and Inspiron 7000 Black Edition 2-in-1 Launched at CES 2019

Dell presents the G5 and G7 gaming notebooks at CES 2019 along with the new Inspiron 7000 Black Edition convertible. Let’s start from the Dell G5, available in the G5 15 and G5 15 SE variants, both with a 15.6-inch display. Substantially identical in terms of specifications, the two notebooks offer a design with thin frames and differ only for a small aesthetic detail. The Dell G5 15 SE has a small transparent panel on the back of the chassis that lets you glimpse the fans of the cooling system.

Powered by Intel Core 8th generation processors (up to Core i7), Dell G5 15 and G5 15 SE use NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards equipped with GDDR5 memory (up to 6GB). Dell uses a 15.6-inch Full-HD display for both, with an option for a more powerful 144 Hz panel and support for NVIDIA G-Sync technology, while the storage department has the option of SSD PCIe M.2 up to 1TB along with a 2TB hard disk.

Dell G5 15 and G5 15 SE will be available starting January 21st starting at $999.

The Dell G7 resumed in principle the characteristics of the younger brother G5; however, the manufacturer has further optimized the design, managing to limit the thickness of the notebook in less than 20 millimeters. Dell G7 will be available in the G7 15 and G7 17 variants: the first with a 15.6-inch display, the second with a larger 17.3-inch panel. The technical specifications are more or less the same as those of the G5, except for the possibility of using the latest generation Intel Core i9 processors.

The rest of the specifications remain unchanged, with options for NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, optional dual-storage (SSD PCIe M.2 + HDD), backlit keyboard and 144Hz FHD panel with optional G-Sync.

Dell G7 15 and G7 17 will be available from January 21 with base prices of $1099 and $1379, respectively.

We conclude with Inspiron 13/15 7000 Black Edition, a 2-in-1 convertible that introduces for the first time a pen compartment positioned in the hinge. According to the manufacturer, the compartment allows you to hide a full-sized pen (magnetically locked), easily accessible in both tablet and notebook.

The convertible will be available in 13 and 15-inch displays refreshed keyboard design allows the larger (15″) variant to accommodate a numeric pad. Dell Inspiron 7000 Black Edition is equipped with a power button with a fingerprint reader and it supports Adaptive Thermal technology, a feature that automatically detects which mode the device is located, adjusting the performance profile to balance temperatures and consumption.

At the moment Dell is not providing any other details, we know that Inspiron 13/15 7000 Black Edition will be available from May.
