The new Dell 1440p 27-inch monitor for PC gamers is officially available now. The Dell G2725D is a Fast IPS model and has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) at up to 180 Hz. The grayscale change takes place within 1 ms. It also promises 10-bit color depth, 99% sRGB, 400 cd/m² brightness, and a 1000:1 contrast.
In addition to support for HDR and FreeSync, a KVM switch is advertised, although this is most likely an incorrect statement due to the lack of USB interfaces. The available connections include two HDMI inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone output, as shown in the product images. However, the HDMI ports are version 2.1 but use the TMDS model, limiting WQHD to a maximum of 144 Hz instead of 180 Hz.
In terms of ergonomics, the new Dell high refresh rate monitor is limited to tilt, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), and blue light filtering. The estimated power consumption is 24 watts, and the stand weighs 5.97 kg.
Dell G2725D price and release date
The new Dell 1440p 27-inch monitor is available for pre-order on Amazon.com for $199.99 and on Amazon.co.uk for £146. It will be released on October 15, 2024.
The Bhphotovideo online store has also begun pre-orders for the Dell P2724DEB video conferencing screen. This 27-inch IPS panel features WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) and supports refresh rates of up to 60 Hz.
