Dell is expanding the G series of a mid-range gaming notebook with the G16 (7620), the first 16-inch Dell G model in the series to feature a high-resolution 16:10 display. Dell 7620 G16 comes with a powerful Intel Alder Lake processor and Nvidia RTX 3070 ti, the device promises first-class performance.
The Dell G15 (approx. 900 on Amazon) has a larger sister model, the Dell G16. The difference is the display because the new Dell gaming notebook has a 16-inch panel in 16:10 format. The screen offers a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a frame rate of 165 Hz. The panel supports Nvidia G-Sync, and the maximum brightness is 300 nits.
The larger 16:10 display is primarily made possible by a narrower chin under the display, giving users more screen real estate in a similarly sized notebook. Not much has changed in the rest of the equipment; the Dell G16 relies on an Intel Core i7-12700H, just like the latest version of the Dell G15. In addition, there is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU with a TGP of 90 watts in the base model, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU with a TGP of up to 140 watts is used in the top model.
Dell installs 8 GB to 32 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and a 512 GB to 2 TB SSD. The basic model does not have Thunderbolt 4 – buyers have to use one of the more expensive models for a fast connection. In any case, the Dell G16 has one HDMI 2.1, three USB-A, a headphone jack, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0. Depending on the variant, the battery has a capacity of either 56 Wh or 86 Wh.
