Dell’s Alienware has introduced a new 34 QHD ultrawide monitor for PC gamers. Specifically, the Dell AW3425DW QD display measures 34.2 inches diagonally and features the manufacturer’s new AW30 design line. Unlike previous models, this new design differs visually in several respects and also includes a new OSD layout. Furthermore, inside the new curved 34-inch Alienware monitor is a QD OLED panel with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels (UWQHD, 21:9) and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz.
The manufacturer rates the contrast ratio at 1,500,000:1, the color depth at 10 bits, the response time at 0.03 ms (gray to gray), and the brightness at 250 cd/m² (typical) or 1,000 cd/m² (HDR, 3 percent APL). The display covers 99.3 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. Certified according to DisplayHDR True Black 400, the new Alienware AW3425DW eliminates tearing via FreeSync Premium Pro or G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync. ALLM and VRR are available on consoles.
The interface selection includes two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), a USB 3.0 hub, and a USB-C port with 15 watts of PD. All graphics ports support a full 240 Hz refresh rate. Ergonomics features include tilt, swivel, height adjustment (110 mm), VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), and an anti-reflective coating. Picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes are also included. However, there is no KVM switch or headphone jack.
The Dell AW3425DW, which weighs 5.09 kg without the stand, is backed by a three-year warranty with on-site replacement service. The warranty also covers any possible OLED burn-in.

Dell recently introduced the Alienware AW3425DWM. The new 27-inch monitor features a Fast IPS panel and, more importantly, offers a WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 180 Hz, and is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.
