First Gaming Desktop PC with Intel Iris Xe (DG1) Graphics goes on Sale

BestBuy has listed the first Gaming desktop PC equipped with an Intel Iris Xe (DG1) discrete graphics card. The gamer computer system is manufactured by CyberPowerPC. The new gamer PC product, called Gamer Xtreme Gaming Desktop, belongs to the younger segment of CyberPower desktop PC but is based on the latest 11th generation Intel Core processor (Rocket Lake-S).

CyberPower desktop PC Gamer Xtreme Gaming Desktop

The CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme Gaming Desktop is powered by a 6-core and 12-thread Intel Core i5-11400F processor up to 4.4 GHz. This chip does not have an integrated graphics core, which is indicated by the “F” suffix in its name.

The discrete graphics accelerator Intel DG1, built on the Xe-LP architecture, is responsible for graphics processing. This graphics card is hardly designed to handle the latest games, but its power should be enough for popular multiplayer games in 1080p resolution.

The GPU of this graphics accelerator uses 640 shader units (80 execution units). The manufacturer allocated 4 GB of LPDDR4X memory with a bandwidth of 68 GB/s to the video card. Unfortunately, on the published images of the CyberPower desktop PC, the video card is not shown in detail, so it is not known who its manufacturer is. At the moment, it is known that at least two companies are engaged in the production of Intel Iris Xe (DG1) video cards – ASUS and Colorful.

According to the latest data, Intel is going to introduce DG2 graphics cards based on the Xe-HPG graphics architecture this year. These solutions will offer a much higher level of performance compared to the same DG1 model. Rumors claim that the new DG2 series will be able to compete with the latest graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD.

Price and availability

CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme Gaming Desktop PC pricing starts from $749.99, and currently listed on the BestBuy.com website.

Recently, Razer has also made its Tomahawk gaming desktop computer available for purchase. It is a very particular Razer desktop system that makes modularity its strong point. After several years of development, the company has managed to create the best computer for gaming that on the one hand is super-compact and sober in terms of design, on the other hand, guarantees excellent game performance by offering a modular and above all “tool-free” approach, simple assemble even for the less experienced.
