Corsair K83 Wireless Keyboard With Joystick, Trackpad, Music Roller Launched

Corsair K83 can’t be classified as a simple wireless keyboard. The company – which at CES 2019 had brought several new peripherals – has aimed at a real hybrid solution, able to bring together the casual user looking for a comfortable keyboard, but with an attractive design and the most cunning one, that in this wireless keyboard can find additional controllers, useful for managing music and other multimedia elements.

Starting from the bases, Corsair K83 integrates 76 -key slightly smaller than those of a normal keyboard – laptop style – brushed aluminum design, a white LED backlight, contoured keycaps with an intuitive layout and 20-key rollover ensure you’ll never miss a keystroke.

On the right side stand some controllers that make this keyboard very special. K83 also includes a joystick, a wheel on the top, two lower physical buttons and a trackpad that supports the gestures of Windows 10 up to four fingers.

The joystick is certainly one of the most unusual elements to be placed on this kind of peripherals. In addition to allowing navigation in the menus, it can also be set to simulate the movement of the mouse, an operation that can be very useful in all game sessions, where it is required to control the mouse to move a view or manage a camera.

Needless to say, “you can play from the couch” without having to bother to use the mouse on a hard surface. The aluminum volume roller with a deactivation button, however, allows you to adjust the sound when it comes to starting your favorite music. Also excellent when the Corsair K83 has the ability to connect to multiple devices, from any PC from the living room, to compatible Smart TVs, media players or other devices, being able to choose between the 2.4 GHz wireless connection or the wireless Bluetooth low latency.

Finally, a 128-bit AES wireless encryption is not missing while you type, USB rechargeable battery that can provide up to 40 hours of continuous use and a variety of customization modes thanks to Corsair iCUE software.

Corsair K83 Wireless Keyboard is available in the US, priced at $99.99.
