The Cooler Master GA2711S is a new WQHD 2K gaming monitor. It may not satisfy very demanding video gamers, but it also starts at a relatively affordable price.
Cooler Master has introduced a new monitor. The GA2711 is a 27″ IPS 2K gaming monitor, but in this respect, it is more of a basic model. However, many casual gamers, especially those not focused on fast-paced multiplayer titles, will likely find the equipment sufficient. The IPS panel measures 27 inches diagonally, and the resolution is 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. This resolution, therefore, represents a sensible compromise between high sharpness and the ability to achieve higher frame rates at the native resolution.
Regarding the refresh rate: It’s specified at 180 Hz, which is excellent for a gaming monitor. It outperforms many affordable models that often reach 144 Hz. The GA2711S offers a significantly higher refresh rate than the standard 100 Hz monitors commonly found in most budget models today. Adaptive Sync is supported, the gray-to-gray response time is specified as four milliseconds and the MPRT response time as one millisecond.
The brightness is rated at 350 cd/m², with HDR400 support. The display covers 75% of the DCI-P3 color space and 99% of the sRGB color space. It includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. However, it lacks a USB hub for connecting accessories and does not have a USB Type-C image input. The monitor, which supports Display HDR 400, can only be tilted, but a VESA mount allows for an alternative stand or wall mount.
