Asus at the CES 2017 event in Las Vegas has officially announced the ZenFone 3 Zoom smartphone. As expected, the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom is being promoted as “built for photography.” It is a new member of the Zenfone 3 family, equipped with all metal body, and is characterized by a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensors.
The ZenFone 3 Zoom bears a dual rear camera setup, with one 12-megapixel rear autofocus camera with Sony IMX362 sensor, and f/1.7 aperture, and the other 12-megapixel rear camera sensor featuring a 2.3x optical zoom, which allowing for a total 12x zoom. 4 axis optical image stabilization for photography and 3 axis optical image stabilization for video recording. It can record 4K video at 30fps.

The rear cameras also feature a TriTech+ autofocus system, dual-PDAF, 25mm focal length, 82-degrees wide-angle lens, dual tone LED Flash, and Laser AF. At the front, the ZenFone 3 Zoom packs a 13-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and a screen flash feature.
Coming to the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom specifications, it comes with a 5.5-inch Amoled display with full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a 2.0GH Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage configuration with microSD card slot.
The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom is being touted as “thinnest and lightest” smartphone featuring a 5000mAh battery, measuring 154.3 x 77 x 7.99 mm, while weighing 170 grams, which is also a highlight of the device.
ASUS claims that the device has an amazing battery life, ZenFone 3 Zoom can shoot continuous 4K video up to 6.4 hours, or standby time up to 42 days or up to 8.5 hours of a Live Streaming.
The ZenFone 3 Zoom will be available in Navy Black, Glacier Silver, and Rose Gold color options and the price will be announced in the coming weeks.
